Beautiful, Powerful, Sexy.

If you know my brand, you know that my mantra is 'Beautiful, Powerful, Sexy'. I know that when a woman feels beautiful and powerful she is simply and amazingly sexy. She feels it. Everyone around her feels it. She can take on the world and and tame it, should she choose to. I want every woman to feel that. It's the reason I do Boudoir Sessions. I want every woman to celebrate her beauty, her power and also her sexy!

I just came back from NYC and more amazing Boutique Hotel Boudoir Sessions. My NYC sessions are in an amazing hotel in NYC, gorgeous location, gorgeous room, gorgeous women. You can't go wrong! My morning session was one of the fiercest women I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Miss A is one of the most beautiful women, inside and out I know. I always love my clients, but A and I immediately hit it off like old friends. She admitted to being a bit nervous before her session. Worrying, as we all do from time to time, that she was not going to look her best for this session. That she wouldn't feel beautiful enough, powerful enough or sexy enough. My first image of her immediately changed her mind. Miss A gave me permission to use her images on my blog immediately. She wants women to see these and be inspired to do their own Boudoir Sessions and celebrate just how amazing we all are!

The first of these images was the very first shot I took of Miss A. I think you can understand why she realized her fierce-ness was alive and well and she need not worry. ;)

Beautiful

Powerful

Sexy
There is no reason to wait to do your session. Celebrate how beautiful, powerful and sexy you are now.

Showing some love...

The first love I'm showing is to one of my AMAZING stylists: Valerie Schaubroeck. Click on her name to check out her fantastic blog. She does lash extensions now! May have to pamper myself one of these days with some. :) Yes, we should all pamper ourselves periodically!

Now some love to my other AMAZING stylist: Sara Lovell. Love that Sara's profile pic on that link is one I took for her Boudoir Session! :) Sara colors my hair as well. If you've seen my color, you know she rocks it out!

Finally some love for my other half, my other job, Photographer at Hanlon Weddings, along side photographer extraordinaire and fantastic friend (is it a job when you get to hang out with friends all day? ;)) Michael Hanlon. I'm including a pic from one of our recent engagement sessions. Yup, you are ridiculously fun to work with, Mr.Hanlon.

Here some of my favorites from that session. I do so love that magical evening light and two people in love.

I've said it before, I'll say it again ~ I simply have the best job. Love, love, love. :)

Manifesto for a Boudoir, Wedding, Portrait Photographer

Hmmm, a manifesto? Yup, a manifesto. I'm not great at writing. Nope, not at all. I'm one of those people who tend to write in a train of thought, throw it all on the page, kind of fashion. Not the easiest to read. Freud would most likely LOVE to read my writings and dissect my psyche, but for everyone else, it's hard to muddle through (lost yet?) my writing. To that end I'm trying out a writing course of sorts from Kristen at Brand Camp. I love the way Kristen writes. I love that I get such a sense of who she is from her writing. My first assignment from her 'Circus Circus' was to write a manifesto, 3 times.

So, here are my first 3.

1. I want you to see how beautiful you are. I see people every day and see how beautifully stunning they are. I also see how few of them realize this fact. I want to show you that beauty. From the way you look at the camera when I talk about the things you love, to the way you look at each other when I cover you with her veil. When you forget that your supposed to be 'on' and can just be is when your beauty shines through.

2. You only get to experience this life once. Even if you do the same task over and over, each experience with it will have something different about it. It's all those differences that make like beautiful, exciting, momentous. I love seeing those moments, being part of them with you. I love that I get to use my art to show you just how beautiful those moments are.

3. Photography reminds me to see things differently. To notice the details and remember how the moment felt. It reminds me of the beauty in a look, a hand held, a shift of the hips, a tear, a smile, a frosting covered face, of newborn skin held by work worn hands, a kiss. It reminds me that beauty is everywhere, if we only take the time to see it.

I love what I do. I am passionate about my job, my art and you. :)
