Take time for personal growth...

It's been a crazy busy summer. Hanlon Weddings kept me busy with weddings every weekend. What a joy to celebrate love with so many amazing couples! We were able to shoot at gorgeous barns, beautiful vineyards, locations with amazing lake views, and even a chateau in France! Check out our blog here: Hanlon Weddings Blog to see the latest updates. Between weddings we had engagement sessions, boudoir sessions, family sessions and a couple of High School Seniors. Here's one of my personal favorites from an engagement session:

Now that wedding season is over, I've decided to try to get in a few personal projects to stretch my wings a bit. I was inspired by old movie images. I've always loved cinematography. It has always inspired my photography. I think it's a HUGE compliment when someone says "That looks like a movie still!". Looking at old movie stills from Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Jack Nicholson and the likes, I decided I wanted to create images like that. I put it out there to the universe (ok, I posted on facebook that I wanted to do this, lol) and one of my favorite people responded saying he would love to be part of my project. Let's just say I was surprised to have him be one of the first to respond! He and his gorgeous wife were more than happy to be my first subjects. We had a blast playing on a beautiful fall day. There's noting quite like two people in love. And when they're willing to emote like these two, well, let's just say it's magic! Valerie Schaubroeck did the hair and makeup. My constant partner in crime, Mike Hanlon, was my assistant. The results are more than I could have hoped for.

I can't wait to do my next session!

Ciao Bella!! Until next time.
